A “Warm Line” is a confidential, free phone service that provides mental health support to individuals who may be struggling but are not in immediate crisis. Warm Lines are staffed by peers who have personal experience with mental health challenges, allowing callers to access support before a situation escalates into a full crisis; unlike a crisis hotline which is designed for immediate emergencies.

The MHAST Warm Line is a phone line answered 24/7 by our Direct Support Professional staff. Each of our staff members are a NYS Certified Peer Specialist and will provide callers with a listening ear, support, encouragement and community resource information as needed.

The Warm Line is not a crisis service – for crisis support, call or text 988 and you will be connected to a trained crisis counselor.
