“Our House”
The Crisis Respite House is a supportive crisis residence that provides a safe, welcoming environment for individuals in crisis. The program is voluntary, and is licensed through the New York State Office of Mental Health. The residence is a 24/7/365 facility staffed by certified peers who assist and support clients to improve their mental wellness during their stay.
The Crisis Respite House is an alternative to hospitalization; clients in crisis can self-refer to the crisis respite house or can be referred to us by a provider or another community organization. Clients are pre-screened to determine eligibility and once approved for admission, individuals may stay up to 28 days at the residence.
“Our House” is able to serve six clients at any given time. All individuals have a private room, along with access to a common living room, a common activity room, shared bathrooms, and kitchen. We have a large backyard space, laundry facilities, and parking available for individuals staying at the Crisis Respite House.
