Offering a beacon of hope for the community, Our House provides a safe and nurturing environment as an alternative to hospitalization for people facing a mental health challenge. Here, guests can stay for up to five days in a residential setting. Guests can stay active in the community while they explore and improve their mental wellness with the help of our trained staff offering peer support. Here at Our House, we encourage a focus on wellness where people with a mental health diagnosis or struggle are no longer stigmatized

To provide Broome County residents experiencing emotional distress with an alternative to hospitalization. In a safe, home-like environment, support staff with lived experiences encourage the guests of Our House to utilize wellness tools and behaviors to help improve their own quality of life.
We are a voluntary respite center offering an alternative to emergency hospitalization for individuals 18 years and older experiencing mental health crises or emotional distress.
Our guests receive 24-hour support from peers (individuals with lived experience of receiving mental health services and trained to provide support to others) in a friendly, safe and supportive home-like environment for up to 5 days per stay.
Our House fosters warmth,empathy and compassion, together with a wide range of recovery oriented services.
